Hippa – Wellbeing and better service housing through digitalisation

14.11.2018

The ‘Wellbeing and better service housing through digitalisation’ project develops smart service housing and opportunities for those who need support to continue living at home in the Six Cities.

Cities and universities of applied science help companies produce smart products and services:

  • By offering companies co-creation processes, where experts from companies, cities and universities of applied sciences work together with service users to highlight smart housing development needs and produce solutions for them. These processes combine wellbeing, construction, data network and business expertise.
  • By offering companies testing and reference services for smart products and services through utilising and developing existing digital environments, conditioned environments and genuine operational environments
  • By sparring with companies to encourage them towards putting products and services onto domestic and international markets as well as supporting the generation of new companies together with business service units.

Metropolia University of Applied Sciences coordinates the Hippa project and partners include the City of Helsinki, Oulu University of Applied Sciences, the City of Oulu and Tampere University of Applied Sciences. The project will run from 1 August 2018 to 31 December 2020 and has a budget of EUR 1,609,009.
