6Aika will organise with partners a discussion Cities and Regions: Leaders in addressing climate change in European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels, Belgium.

How did the European regions and cities become leaders in addressing climate change? This workshop will illustrate how cities and regions are at the forefront of addressing climate change. They are in a unique position to engage citizens and local stakeholders because they can design locally tailored responses to climate change. In this session different cities will present examples of excellent policy initiatives and projects, which can be an inspiration for all the European countries. This will also be illustrated by recent projects from INTERREG programme and EEA and Norway Grants.
